Cy Wiffle- Elliot. Elliot won his 1st Cy Wiffle. Elliot set a new Record
for Era ( 1.56 ) was 2nd in the league in wins, and set a new record for runs allowed with 17. He also made to the finals
for the 2nd straight year and threw Back to back No-Hitters!
Golden Josie- Elliot won his 2nd straight Golden Josie becoming only
the 3rd player to win the honor multiple years. ( Trinkey 5 times ) , ( Scott 2 times)
Most Improved Player- Mink turned around his Sultan Of Suck Rookie campaign
to become the 2009 MIP. Mink showed on the mound to be in most of the games he pitched improving drastically from 2008
he lost 5 less games. He also lost a game while giving up no hits! He also belted 3 more HR's this year tahn last.
Wiffle Warrior- Cody wins his 2nd Wiffle Warrior in 3 years. Cody's
consistancy on and off the field has moved him up in the front office for 2010.
Rookie of the Year- Dan Lambert. Dan came in and lead the league in wins,
win % and only lost 1 game to Elliot ( Who threw 1 of the 2 no-hitters to beat him ) He avenged his only loss by sweeping
Elliot int he finals 2 games 0. Dan also added a No hitter of his on in his first round of the playoffs. He went
5-0 in the playoff's becoming on the 2nd rookie to win the championship and the first since 2002.
Silver Slugger- Steve won his 2nd straight. Steve led the league in 10
offensive catagories including becoming only the 3rd player to hit the triple crown.
Most Valuable Player- Steve. Steve notched his 2nd MVP award in a row
by leading most offensive catagories, Finishing tied for 2nd in wins and lead the league in IP and strikeouts. All that while
being one the leagues consistant fielders.
Sultan of Suck- ( All in Good Fun ) Zack won his record 3rd S.O.S award.
He set record for the lowest batting Avg., was Top 10 all-time with least RBI's. and HR's. He also lead the league in losses.
The S.O.S is the league's version of an LVP. Former winners have gone onto to be Semi-Finalists and Consitantly good players.
Awards were also given for Semi-Finalists, Finalist, and the Champion.
Congrats to all 2009 Award Winners. We can now look forward to Season 21 in 2010! Thanks everyone.
